McCain Stepping Down
June 18th 2008 12:55
The heat is on and the stakes are high. When the primaries kick-started last year, I was very happy with the events as they unfolded. The most interesting being the Democratic battle between Obama and Hillary with Obama clinging the much sought ticket.
The rumour however i\emanating from some reliable sources is that McCain seems to be backing out. The back out is said to be made public in August. How true this is lies in the hand of the senator and his think- tanks at the Republican party. The senator is an experienced and respected senator who got the party's ticket without much sweat. This could be the issue responsible for the unpopularity of the candidate.
Americans seem to be poised for a change come November and it seems that the experts at the Republican party are taking a cue from the Democrats. The proposed 30 man list contain Condolissa Rice and Colin Powell who are also blacks. If either of these two emerges as the flag bearer, then Obama would have a serious battle on his hand. The November battle seems to be getting more interesting each day and I hope the tempo would be sustained and may the best candidate win.
